Best College Soccer ID Camps in Georgia 2026

The Georgia college soccer ID camps families ask us about most — ranked by division level, upcoming dates, parent reviews, and value. Updated weekly.

Georgia's soccer scene has exploded since Atlanta United's arrival. With strong programs at Kennesaw State, Georgia Southern, Mercer, and Emory, plus elite youth clubs like Concorde Fire and United Futbol Academy, the state is a rising recruiting destination. We track every ID camp, showcase, and combine across the state so you don't have to check dozens of school websites. Here are the best upcoming options, ranked by division, date, and value.

Why families trust this page

IDCampFinder is independently run and built to help families compare camps using practical recruiting context, not ad copy from registration pages.

How we rank camps

Rankings combine division level, upcoming dates, visible pricing, and review data when available. This is an editorial list, not a paid placement.

Founder perspective

John Hull built IDCampFinder after seeing how hard it was for recruiting families to compare camp options quickly and honestly. The goal is simple: clearer camp info, less wasted money, and fewer blind registrations.

Top Soccer Programs in Georgia by Division

Division I: Georgia's D1 landscape is unique — the two SEC schools (UGA and Georgia Tech) have limited men's soccer presence. UGA fields a competitive women's program but no men's varsity team. Georgia State (Sun Belt) and Kennesaw State (ASUN, formerly D2 powerhouse) anchor the Atlanta metro. Georgia Southern (Sun Belt) is strong in Statesboro. Mercer (SoCon) in Macon has invested heavily in soccer and offers a well-coached, mid-major experience. Jacksonville State (ASUN, nearby AL) draws GA talent. The state's D1 men's scene is thinner than expected, making mid-majors especially viable for Georgia recruits.

Division II: Young Harris (PBC), Columbus State (PBC), and Clayton State (PBC) are competitive D2 programs with athletic scholarship opportunities. The Peach Belt Conference is the primary D2 league for Georgia schools. Shorter University and Emmanuel College also compete at the D2/NAIA border. D2 is a strong fit for Georgia players who want competitive soccer with scholarship support.

Division III: Emory (UAA) is the jewel — one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the South with nationally competitive D3 soccer. Oglethorpe, Berry College (Rome, GA), Piedmont, LaGrange, and Covenant College offer D3 soccer with strong academic programs. The USA South and SAA conferences serve GA's D3 schools. For recruits prioritizing academics and the Atlanta area, Emory is the clear target.

NAIA: Georgia has a meaningful NAIA presence. Reinhardt, Truett McConnell, Point University, and Dalton State compete in NAIA conferences with scholarship flexibility. NAIA is a realistic and valuable path for many Georgia high school players.

Georgia Recruiting Regions

Atlanta Metro (Kennesaw, Decatur, Marietta): The hub of Georgia soccer. Kennesaw State, Georgia State, Emory, and Oglethorpe are all within 30 minutes of downtown Atlanta. The Atlanta United effect has made this one of the fastest-growing soccer markets in the US. Concorde Fire, United Futbol Academy, and NASA Tophat are headquartered here. Most GA camps are in this zone — plan your trip around the Atlanta metro and you'll cover the majority of options.

Macon & Central Georgia: Mercer University anchors central Georgia with a strong SoCon program. The drive from Atlanta is 90 minutes south on I-75. Mercer camps are well-run, less crowded than Atlanta-area events, and the coaching staff is highly regarded. Combine with a Georgia College visit (D2) in Milledgeville.

Statesboro & Coastal Georgia: Georgia Southern is the main draw, 3.5 hours southeast of Atlanta. Savannah (Armstrong State, now Georgia Southern-Armstrong) adds a coastal option. Less camp density but genuine recruiting opportunities at Sun Belt programs.

North Georgia (Rome, Dahlonega): Berry College (D3, Rome) and North Georgia (Dahlonega) serve the mountain region. Berry's stunning 27,000-acre campus is worth a visit. These programs offer a more intimate recruiting experience away from the Atlanta bustle.

How Much Do ID Camps Cost in Georgia?

Georgia camps are generally more affordable than the Northeast or West Coast. Kennesaw State and Georgia State day camps run $150–$275. Mercer ID camps cost $125–$225 — strong value for a well-run D1 experience. Georgia Southern camps are similarly priced at $125–$250. Emory D3 clinics range from $75–$175 with excellent coach-to-player ratios. Third-party showcases like the CASL College Showcase and Disney Soccer Showcase (Orlando, nearby) run $300–$500 per player and draw Southeastern college coaches heavily. UGA women's camps cost $175–$350. Budget tip: Georgia's cost of living is significantly lower than the Northeast — hotels, meals, and transport in the Atlanta metro and especially Macon/Statesboro are 30–40% cheaper than comparable camps in Boston, NYC, or DC. Your camp dollar stretches further in Georgia.

Best Time to Attend ID Camps in Georgia

Georgia ID camps run from late May through July, with June being peak season. Kennesaw State and Georgia State typically host in June, with registration opening in March. Mercer and Georgia Southern run camps in June and early July. Emory D3 clinics are available in late June to mid-July with fall prospect days in September–October. The Atlanta United effect has also spawned summer showcases and combine events in the Atlanta metro — check Atlanta United Academy and Georgia Soccer Association websites for exposure events. Pro tip: Georgia's heat and humidity in July can be intense — June camps are more comfortable. Plan your "Atlanta Metro Tour" (Kennesaw State → Georgia State → Emory → Oglethorpe) as a 3-day trip. Add a Mercer visit in Macon on day 4 for a 4-school, 4-day circuit. If your athlete is open to NAIA, add Reinhardt (Waleska, 45 minutes north of Atlanta) for outstanding scholarship opportunities.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best college soccer ID camps in Georgia for 2026?
The top-rated college soccer ID camps in Georgia include camps from Kennesaw State, Georgia Southern, Mercer, and more. See our full ranked list above, sorted by division level, upcoming dates, cost, and parent reviews.
How do I choose the right ID camp in Georgia?
Consider your recruiting level (D1 vs D3), budget, travel distance, and whether the head coach attends. Read parent reviews to learn which camps provide genuine recruiting exposure vs. large-group clinics with minimal coach interaction.
Are third-party ID camps worth it?
Third-party camps like Future 500, ID Sports USA, and College Soccer Prospect ID bring coaches from multiple schools to one location. They're efficient if you're exploring options across divisions. School-specific camps are better if you're targeting a particular program.
How much do soccer ID camps in Georgia cost?
Costs vary widely. Single-day clinics start around $125-$200. Multi-day residential camps at D1 programs can run $400-$800. Multi-school showcases typically cost $200-$400. Check individual camp listings for current pricing.
How has Atlanta United impacted college soccer recruiting in Georgia?
Atlanta United's arrival in 2017 transformed Georgia's soccer landscape. Youth participation surged across the metro, new clubs formed, and existing clubs expanded. The Atlanta United Academy now develops elite talent that feeds D1 programs and MLS directly. The broader cultural shift means more families are investing in soccer development, which has raised the overall talent level and increased college camp attendance across the state. Georgia went from a football-only culture to a legitimate soccer state in less than a decade.
What youth clubs in Georgia produce the most college players?
Concorde Fire is the top pipeline — they're one of the elite ECNL clubs in the Southeast and regularly send players to D1 programs. United Futbol Academy (UFA), NASA Tophat, and Gwinnett Soccer Academy are also strong ECNL/MLS NEXT clubs. The Atlanta United Academy sits above the club system and develops professional-track talent. GA Rush, Southern Soccer Academy, and Inter Atlanta FC round out the college-producing clubs. Georgia's club scene has grown dramatically since 2017 and now rivals traditional soccer states.
