About This Camp

Texas State University is hosting a five-day women's Division 1 ID camp from May 31 to June 4, 2026, in San Marcos, Texas. This is a day camp format, meaning players commute daily rather than staying overnight. The cost is $380 for the full session. The camp targets female soccer players interested in exploring fit with a Sun Belt Conference program.

This camp is designed for high school recruits considering Division 1 soccer at a mid-level power conference school. Texas State competes in the Sun Belt, which is a realistic destination for recruits with solid club credentials and competitive college ambitions. The five-day format provides extended evaluation time and training exposure compared to single-day showcases, though the day-camp structure limits informal coach contact that happens in residential settings. No specific age or graduation-year bounds are listed, so you should confirm with the camp organizers whether there are grade or age restrictions.

Recruits attending should know that the head coach will not be on the field during this camp, meaning coaching staff present are evaluating but the top decision-maker is not directly observing. The five-day span does allow for multiple training sessions and scrimmages, giving a fuller picture of player development and fit than a shorter event. At $380, this camp is moderately priced for a multi-day ID event. No player reviews or ratings are available yet for this camp, so you may want to reach out to the program directly with questions about what typical daily schedules include and how evaluation feedback is shared with players and families.

This camp makes sense for families exploring Sun Belt-level D1 programs and wanting extended training time in a non-residential setting. If you're a recruit with clear D1 aspirations and Texas State is on your realistic target list, the five-day format justifies the cost. If you're looking for direct head-coach evaluation or prefer overnight immersion camps, keep looking elsewhere. Check with Texas State's soccer staff for any unposted age or grade requirements before registering.

Camp was well organized. It followed the standard format of drills, small sided, facility tour, and full-sided games. They also had a running race to see who was the fastest.

* Heat in the afternoon for the 11v11 games. Not much you can do about that other than not attend in the summer.

Would recommendAttend if you are extremely interested in Texas State and/or have interest from coaches.
