About This Camp

Texas State University is hosting a five-day women's Division I ID camp from July 12–16, 2026, in San Marcos, Texas. The camp runs during daytime hours only (no overnight option) and costs $380. This is a recruiting-focused event where prospective players train with the program's coaching staff and compete in small-sided games and scrimmages designed to showcase their technical and tactical abilities under game conditions.

This camp is geared toward high school women's soccer players considering Division I programs, particularly those with genuine interest in the Sun Belt Conference and Texas State's recruiting footprint. The five-day format provides more extended exposure than a single-day clinic, allowing coaches multiple chances to observe consistency in decision-making, fitness, and play. No specific age or graduation-year bounds are listed, so the camp likely welcomes a range of high school grades; families should confirm eligibility directly with the program if their player is a freshman or sophomore. This is an exploratory event for players actively building their recruiting profile at the D1 level.

Recruits should note that the head coach does not attend this camp, which means evaluation will fall to assistant staff. A five-day day camp provides substantially more training and game time than a one-day session but less informal access than an overnight event would offer. The $380 price point is mid-range for a multi-day ID camp. Without prior reviews on file, there is no peer feedback yet on camp quality or coaching attention. Families should treat this as a standard recruiting exposure opportunity: bring your game film if requested, arrive fit, and understand that attendance alone does not create a relationship—performance in training and games does.

This camp is worth considering if your daughter is a high school women's soccer player exploring D1 programs in the Sun Belt or has specific interest in Texas State's style of play. It's less suited for players still early in their recruiting journey or those whose athletic targets lean toward Power Five conferences or out-of-region schools. If you're a fit, register early given the multi-day format and summer timing, which often fill.

Camp was well organized. It followed the standard format of drills, small sided, facility tour, and full-sided games. They also had a running race to see who was the fastest.

* Heat in the afternoon for the 11v11 games. Not much you can do about that other than not attend in the summer.

Would recommendAttend if you are extremely interested in Texas State and/or have interest from coaches.
