About This Camp
Crossbar Academy's Girls ID Camp is a single-day, womens-only ID event held on July 25, 2026, at the academy's Tomball campus in Houston. The camp runs two three-hour sessions (9 AM–noon and 1–4 PM) and costs $199–$295. The format includes coach-led training, 7v7 and 11v11 matches, evaluations from multiple college programs, and a Q&A with college coaches.
This camp targets 8th–12th grade female soccer players and college transfers exploring recruiting fit across multiple NCAA divisions. Because it's multi-division and draws coaches from various programs rather than emphasizing a single host school, it functions as a broad exposure event. The wide age and grade range means the camp mixes early-stage explorers (middle schoolers) with seniors actively in recruitment, so your athlete's peer group and coaching attention will likely vary depending on which session they attend and their perceived profile.
Prospective attendees should know that the head coach does not appear to be actively evaluating, but the description notes that multiple college coaches will attend, watch, and provide feedback. One recent attendee mentioned that coaches both conducted training and stayed after to speak with players one-on-one, suggesting informal contact opportunities exist beyond the formal session. At $200–$300, this is a modest-cost option for a half-day camp with evaluation exposure. Because there are no posted reviews with a rating, you may want to reach out to the camp directly or seek feedback from other families who've attended to confirm coaching caliber and camp organization before registering.
This camp works best for families who want a low-commitment, affordable introduction to college recruiting or a skills-focused event with some coach visibility. It's less suited for senior-year athletes with specific college targets or those seeking an intensive, single-program showcase. If your daughter is interested, plan to register soon, as no deadline is posted and the camp date is fixed.

Write a Review* This camp had a lot of coaches attending. Some just watched, but a lot of them coached as well. * We attended the morning session, and the weather was overcast and great * The coaches stuck around after to talk to players. They stood on the field, and interested players were able to come up to them to talk, take pictures, etc. Really liked that. * Shorter than a lot of camps at 3 hours, but it was good this wasn't a full day event.
* Tons of girls, and the camp was only 3 hours. You have to really work hard to stand out. * Was on a turf field on the south side of San Antonio. Fields were not in the best shape.
