About This Camp

MVLA Summer 2026 Camps - Camp 2 - Competitive Half-Day is a four-day, coed clinic hosted by MVLA in Los Altos, California. The camp runs Monday through Thursday, June 15–18, from 9:30 a.m. to noon each day. It is a day camp, not overnight. The format is a half-day skills and competitive-play session designed for youth players ages 6–10. Early bird registration costs $325 if paid before April 1; regular registration is $375.

This is a youth development camp, not a college recruiting event. MVLA offers both men's and women's NCAA programs, but this camp's age range (6–10 years old) and coed format signal it is an early-exposure experience for elementary school players interested in competitive soccer. Families with young players who want to sample a college environment and get coached by college-level staff should consider it. This is not an event for high school recruits pursuing college roster spots or scholarships.

The half-day format means three hours of instruction and play per session across four consecutive mornings. That's roughly 12 hours of total programming—less intensive than a full-day or overnight camp, but enough for young players to experience different coaching styles and competitive peer play. Early bird pricing of $325 is reasonable for a four-day youth clinic in the Bay Area if the quality of instruction matches; however, no reviews are currently posted, so families may want to reach out to MVLA directly to ask about coaching staff and what past participants found valuable. The head coach does not attend this camp, so evaluation for future recruitment is not part of the camp's purpose.

This camp is a fit for families with elementary school players who want to explore competitive soccer in a college setting and build fundamentals without the intensity of a full-day or overnight format. High school recruits and families focused on college recruiting should not register for this camp. If interested in the early bird rate, note that the April 1 deadline will be the cutoff for the $325 price.
