About This Camp

This is Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's 2026 Youth Day Camps Session #2, a five-day coed day clinic running July 27–31 in San Luis Obispo, California. The camp costs $325 and is designed for ages 5–12 to learn fundamental soccer skills and introduce players to a fun, supportive environment. All skill levels are welcome.

This is a youth development camp, not a college recruiting event. The coed format at a school with separate NCAA men's and women's programs, combined with the age range (5–12), confirms this is designed for recreational and foundational skill-building rather than high school or college ID evaluation. Families should understand they are signing their younger children up for a summer soccer clinic run by a Division 1 program, not an event where recruiting conversations will happen.

Expect day-camp logistics: players attend sessions during daytime hours and return home each evening. The focus is on fundamentals, enjoyment, and introducing players to structured soccer coaching. Because the head coach does not attend and this is a youth-focused clinic, coaching will likely come from assistant staff or graduate assistants rather than the college program's top recruiting personnel. The $325 fee is moderate for a five-day college-hosted camp. There are no existing reviews to reference.

This camp is a good fit for families with young children (elementary school age) looking for a quality summer soccer experience at a college facility. It's not a recruiting venue and should not be approached as one. If you're the parent of a high school or middle school player seeking college ID evaluation, look for age-appropriate recruiting camps instead. Families interested in enrolling young children should register before the camp begins in late July.
