About This Camp

This is UC Irvine's 2026 Summer Youth Camp, Week 8, a day-clinic coed program hosted at the University of California Irvine campus in Irvine, California. The camp runs July 27–31, 2026, and focuses on fundamental soccer skills for young players through game-based instruction. This is a development camp for recreational players, not a recruiting event.

This camp is designed for young players ages 4–12 interested in learning soccer fundamentals in a fun, instructional setting. It is not an ID camp or recruiting showcase. Families should treat this as a skills-building and exposure experience for children in early elementary school and younger—not as a step toward college recruitment. There is no competitive evaluation component.

Families should know upfront that this is a youth development program, not a college recruiting event. The head coach does not attend, and the camp's stated focus is teaching basic skills through games rather than evaluating talent for roster consideration. This is appropriate for young players who are new to soccer or still building foundational technique. The day-format means players go home each evening; there is no overnight residential component that might provide additional coach contact.

This camp is best for families with children ages 4–12 seeking a summer soccer skills clinic in Southern California. If your child is a high school recruit or a family researching D1 recruiting camps, this is not the right event. Consider it only if your goal is recreational development during the summer break.
